Author: TACHO GALÁN

Cubop Bebop is a style of jazz identified by improvisation, complexity, speed, and virtuosity. Cubop, also known as Cuban bebop, is a mode linked to Dizzie Gillespie, who, aside from these elements, added Afro-Cuban rhythms to his jazz arrangements. The style is also linked to innovators Mario Bauzá, Frank Grillo (known artistically as »Machito«), and to other Gillespie collaborators.
