Bolon

Bolon *harp lute of the Fula of Sierra Leone, with a large spherical resonator of gourd, a belly of animal skin with the hair left on, and an arched neck that pierces the resonator and projects as a stub at the far end. A bridge bored with holes, through which 3 strings pass, rises perpendicular to the belly. These are fastened to the neck by tuning rings.
