Buchaĭŭ

Buchaĭŭ (bull), Rom. *friction drum made of a watering can, the bottom of which has been replaced by a piece of leather. The friction cord is of horsehair and the instr. is said to emit a noise similar to a bull's roar. Cf. buhai.
