Doublophone

Doublophone *duplex instr. of Fontaine Besson of Paris, 1890; it combined a 3-valved baritone with a valved tenor trombone, each having separate tubing. In appearance it was a baritone with a second bell set at an angle (176). Sachs, Curt. Reallexikon der Musikinstrumente. Berlin, 1913.
