Russpfeif
Russpfeif [?MHGer. Rusch, rush], according to Virdung and Agricola, writing in the early 16th c., a short, wide-bore recorder with 4 front fingerholes, terminating in a slight flare. If their terminology is correct, there would be no connection between Russpfeif and Rauschpfeife, but their identification is questionable.
