Saeng

Saeng *drum chime of Burma, composed of a number of *bung, usually 21, suspended in a low circular frame so that the player, in the center, can reach them all. It is played with bare hands. Cf. saing waing (176). Sachs, Curt. Reallexikon der Musikinstrumente. Berlin, 1913.
