Tambal

Tambal (pron. tsambal) [Gk. kymbalon], Rom. dulcimer, a cimbalom introduced from Hungary in the 19th c. Made in table form, but also as a smaller trapezoid that can be suspended from the player's neck (C. Prichici: Metoda de tambal, 1956).
