Tarompet name given to the selompret in the Sunda districts of W. Java, with long coconut “wings” attached to the mouthpiece, curved to fit the player's blown-out cheeks, reminiscent of the phorbeia (121). Kunst, Jaap. The Music of Java. The Hague, 1949.
