Banzy
Banzy, or Banzi , librettist, has left no information to provide subsequent generations with even a sketchy knowledge of his origins and artistic activity, but his name has come to be associated with the music provided for Molière’s Mélicerte. His sole contribution to the repertory of the Royal Academy of Music was the libretto he wrote for Le Ballet de Villeneuve-Saint-Georges of 1692.
