Boullay, Michel du
(†1691)> LIBRETTIST
Boullay, Michel du (?, Paris; 1691, Rome), librettist, was secretary to the duke de Vendôme, but the duties of this office did not prevent him from collaborating on two compositions for the Opéra. He did the libretto for the ballet, Zéphyre et Flore, for which Louis and Jean-Louis Lully did the score in 1688, and two years later he provided the words for Louis Lully’s Orphée of 1690.
