Marthésie, reine des Amazones

Marthésie, reine des Amazones is a lyric tragedy in five acts and a prologue. André-Cardinal Destouches did the musical score, and Houdard de La Motte wrote the libretto. The prologue and all five acts were performed initially on 11 October 1699 at Fontainebleau; the prologue and first act were presented at the royal suppers of 17 October 1699 and 25 October 1699.
