Forgeot, Nicolas-Julien (July 1758, Paris; 4 April 1798, Paris), librettist, studied law and passed his bar examination. Attached to a law office, he was also employed by the post office as an inspector. He became interested in the theatre and contributed to the Comédie-Française, the Théâtre-Italien, and the Feydeau theatre between 1780 and 1795, but his only text for the Opéra was a lyric comedy in one act: Les Pommiers et le moulin with music by Lemoyne .
