La Bohème

La Bohème is an opera in four tableaux with a score by Giacomo Puccini and a libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica based upon Henry Murger ’s Scènes de la vie de bohème . It had its world premiere at the Teatro Regio in Turin on 1 February 1896. The following year it was produced in Alexandria, Moscow, Lisbon, Milan, Manchester (in English), Belrin (in German), Rio de Janeiro, London, Vienna, Los Angeles, and the Hague.
