Duprez, Alexandrine
(†1872)> SOPRANO
Duprez, Alexandrine , née Duperron (Nantes; 27 February 1872, Brussels), French soprano, made her debut at the Odéon in 1827. She was billed on programs with her husband Gilbert earlier in life, but her voice lacked the quality to sustain a stage career, and she retired from the theatre to devote her attention to her daughter, Caroline.
