L’Esclave

L’Esclave was billed as an opera in four acts and five tableaux with a score by Edmond Membrée and a libretto by Edouard Foussier and François Got. Louis Mérante created its choreography. It had its premiere on 17 July 1874 at the Salle Ventadour after the fiery destruction of the opera house in the rue Le Peletier and before the completion of the Garnier Palace.
