Eucharis

Eucharis was billed as a pantomime ballet with choreography by Jean Coralli and music by Ernest Deldevez. Its sets were created by Pierre Cicéri , Séchan , Diéterle , Despléchins . It was danced for the first time at the Royal Academy of Music on 7 August 1844, but the shortcomings in its libretto by Léon Pillet detracted too seriously from a well-done score, which did draw applause, and the work had to be dropped permanently from the repertory on 23 September 1844 after its sixth staging.
