Fabert, Henri

Fabert, Henri (19 January 1897, Drôme; 22 February 1941, Marseilles), vocalist, studied law at Marseilles before he moved to Paris, where he decided to pursue a career in the theatre. He appeared with a few troupes including the Monte Carlo Company before he made his debut at the Opéra on 21 May 1909 in Mime of Siegfried . He went on to specialize in Wagnerian roles at this point and sang Loge in L’Or du Rhin in 1919, and David and Beckmesser of Les Maîtres Chanteurs in 1912 and 1924…
