Lasthénie

Lasthénie was an opera in a single act with music by Louis Hérold and words by Claude-Etienne Chaillou des Barres. It was the first score that the composer wrote for the Opéra, but its subject was more suited to a comedy of intrigue than to an opera, and audiences were not especially enthusiastic about it despite the interest offered by several passages in the score.
