Nau, Maria-Dolorès-Benedicta-Josephina (18 March 1818, New York; 1891, Levallois), soprano, was admitted to the Conservatoire in Paris on 23 July 1832 to study singing under Mme Cinthie-Damoreau . She won first prize in her division in 1834 and was offered a contract by the Opéra, where she made her debut as a page in Les Huguenots on 1 March 1836.
