Boracchi, Carlo Antonio

BORACCHI, CARLO ANTONIO (fl. ca. 1842, Milan, Italy). Timpanist of the Royal Opera Orchestra at La Scala in Milan, Carlo Boracchi wrote a timpani method book (Manuale del Timpanista, Milan, 1842) and within it described a mechanical tuning device that he had invented but never mass produced.
