JONES [KAUFMAN], ELAYNE (30 Jan 1928, New York, New York). A 1949 graduate of the Juilliard School, where she studied with Saul Goodman and Morris Goldenberg , timpanist Elayne Jones studied piano with her mother from age 6, then later attended both New York’s Music and Art High School and Boston’s Tanglewood Summer Institute (1949).
