Télémaque dans l’île de Calypso was billed as a heroic ballet in three acts with music by Müller and choreography by Pierre-Gabriel Gardel. It had its premiere at Paris on 23 February 1790 and remained in the repertory until 1816. It was revived in 1819, and Lajarte has counted 416 representations of it by the artists between 1790 and 1826.
