Klenitskis, Abelis (7–1/14–1904, Taurage). Lithuanian cond. and comp. Studied with Gruodis and Karnavičius at the Kaunas Cons., then grad. 1953 from the Vilnius Cons. Also studied cond. with L. Ginzburg in a post-grad. course at the M. Cons. (1956). Joined the faculty of the Vilnius Cons. in 1953 and cond. the Vilnius Philh. from 1958–63.
