Kochurov [Kachúruhff], Yury Vladimirovich (6–12–1907, Saratov, 5–22-1952, L.). At the Saratov Mus. Sch., studied comp. with Rudol'f and also pf. Continued his training with V. Shcherbachyov at the L. Cons. Grad. in 1931 and in 1947 joined the faculty of this institution. His pupils incl. N. Agafonnikov , Balov, and Prigozhin. Is best known for his songs and vocal works.
