Soul Gospel The term “soul gospel” is used with relative frequency but is rarely defined. Its most common appearances suggest that it is often regarded either as a gospel subgenre, as a cross between gospel and soul, or as a pseudonym for any gospel music that reverberates within the soul (thus encapsulating most of the gospel repertoire.)
