Croiza, Mme. ClaireCroiza, ClaireClaire Croiza (B * PARIS, 1882 – D † PARIS, 1946) Born Clair Connelly (Conolly), French mezzo-soprano, made her Paris Opéra debut in 1908 as Dalila in Saint-Saëns' (1835 – 1921) Samson et Dalila (1877). In 1922, she joined the faculty of the Ecole normale de musique in Paris. She sang the title role in the Belgian premier of Fauré's Pénélope (1913) at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels.
