Les Muses

Les Muses is an opera-ballet in four entrées and a prologue for which André Campra composed the music, and Antoine Danchet wrote the libretto. It had its premiere at the Palais-Royal on 28 October 1703, and its first run lasted until 25 November 1703. After these 15 representations, the work was never revived in its entirety, although portions of it were employed for the Fragments of 3 December 1711 and 8 February 1717.
