Les Abencérages (1813)

Les Abencérages (1813) is an opera in three acts with a score by Cherubini and a libretto by Jouy. It had its premiere at the Opéra on 6 April 1813, and it enjoyed 14 billings during the year of its first performance, but it did not win any measure of solid support from spectators and had to be dropped after its twentieth representation on 29 March 1816.
