Les Bayadères

Les Bayadères is an opera in three acts with music by Catel and a libretto by Jouy. Its ballets were created by Pierre-Gabriel Gardel and Milon. It enjoyed 134 billings between its premiere on 7 August 1810 at the Imperial Academy of Music and its last staging on 30 April 1825. It was produced every year during this interval except in 1823 and 1826, but it was never mounted more than ten times in any given year after 1817.
