Milcent, Jean-Baptiste-Gabriel-Marie

Milcent, Jean-Baptiste-Gabriel-Marie (23 June 1747, Paris; 1833, Paris), librettist, was the last and sole survivor in a family of 21 children. Raised and educated by the Jesuits, he became editor of Le Journal d’agriculture and Les Affiches de Normandie, although he left these publications later to come to Paris to be closer to the political scene during the Revolution.
