La Paix

La Paix was classified as an opéra-ballet by its authors, Pierre-Charles Roy , who provided its libretto, and the team of François Rebel and François Francoeur, who created its score (for Roy, Rebel , Francoeur, and opéra-ballet, see seventeenth-century volume). The work was designed to celebrate one of the many short peaceful intervals between major outbreaks in Europe during the eighteenth century.
