La Princesse de Babylone was billed as an opera in three acts and in verse with a libretto by Vigée , a score by Kreutzer, and choreography by Pierre-Gabriel Gardel. It had its premiere at the Imperial Academy of Music on 30 May 1815, but it failed to win the support of the public, and it was withdrawn from the repertory after its eighth performance on 26 November 1815.
