La Péri

La Péri was a fantasy ballet in two acts with music by Frédéric Burgmuller, a libretto by Théophile Gautier, and choreography by Jean Coralli. It had its world premiere in Paris at the Royal Academy of Music on 17 July 1843, and its first run lasted for 56 presentations between 1843 and 1848. Its popularity waned after 1845, however, and it was mounted in its entirety on only six dates between 1846 and 1848.
