Métamorphoses

Métamorphoses (FR) Metamorphoses. Poulenc's settings (1943) for voice and piano of three poems by Louise de Vilmorin. Poulenc received a typed manuscript from Vilmorin titled »Le Sable du sablier« (The Sandman's Sand) with »Sable du sablier« crossed out, replaced by »Miroir du sort« (Mirror of Destiny). The titles of the individual songs are: »Reine des mouettes,« »C'est ainsi que tu es,« and »Paganini.«
