Le Carnaval du Parnasse

Le Carnaval du Parnasse was presented as a heroic ballet in three acts and a prologue with a libretto by Fuzelier and music by Mondonville (see seventeenth-century volume for Fuzelier). It had its premiere in Paris on 23 September 1749 and enjoyed 42 performances before the end of the year. It went on to enjoy revivals in 1750, 1759, 1767, and 1774.
