Fandango

Fandango was a pantomine ballet in a single act with a score by Gaston Salvayre, a scenario by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy, and choreography by Louis Mérante. It had its world premiere at the Garnier Palace on 26 November 1877 with scenery by Daram and costumes by Eugène Lacoste . The ballet is set in the public square of a village near the Pyrenees.
