Le Roi d’Yvetot

Le Roi d’Yvetot , based upon a poem by Pierre Béranger , was a pantomimic ballet in a single act with a libretto by Philippe de Massa and a score by Théodore Labarre. Lucien Petipa helped with the libretto and provided the choreography for this work that had its premiere at the Opéra in Paris on 28 December 1865 with impressive sets designed by Cambron and Thierry .
