Berthier, Francisque Garnier

Berthier, Francisque Garnier (1813, Lyons; 27 December 1875, Paris), dancer, held the position of régisseur de la danse at the Opéra from 1855 until his retirement in 1867, but his obligation to maintain discipline in the corps de ballet did not diminish the affection in which his charges held him.
